Janie Mak's Art

Janie is an artist creating art in unison with her soul and works from live subjects to capture the essence of the subject.

Janie studied printed textile design at Chelsea School of Art in the 80s, during the course she quickly discovered watercolour and taught herself of using watercolour, Janie love the delicate and the flow of the medium and the challenges it holds, from two day of the weeks of a life drawing and painting day soon turns into a week for Janie, by end of the course her designs work has become a painting itself.

Art evolves as lives does, Janie transformed from a designer to a fine artist and extended to other mediums, she created art in sculpture form with clay, wire and glass, pretty much anything is a potential material for Janie.

Janie is an artist who also does life coaching, with individual needs sometime art material are used to assist in her coaching, to help people bring out their emotional turmoil.
